Lunchtime Recital: Bartosz Glowacki

On Wednesday 17th April 2019, Polish accordionist Bartosz Glowacki (2015 CMF Artist) presented a wide-ranging solo recital at St Bart’s the Less.

Performing works both written and arranged for accordion by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Penderecki & Piazzolla, Glowacki stunned the audience with his instrument’s versatility and overwhelming musicality. Beginning with an arrangement of Bach’s Keyboard Partita No. 2 in C minor, Glowacki played a string of signature accordion works by Victor Vlasov, Arvo Pärt, and Franck Angelis. After a run of Baroque numbers by Marcello and Vivaldi, Glowacki concluded with a taste of the tango: Piazzolla! For full details, please download the programme below.
