27jan1:00 pmCity Music Foundation presents Bartosz Glowacki@ the Hospital Club

Event Details

In the first of three monthly concerts at the Hospital Club, City Music Foundation is delighted to present Polish accordionist Bartosz Glowacki.

In this relaxed lunchtime performance Bartosz will perform a variety of works including delicate sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, a charming flight of fancy by Finnish composer Petri Makkonen and a stunning work of sonic mystery from Vaclav Trojen. Bartosz will be joined by his chamber group, the Deco Ensemble, to complete the programme with some rousing tangos from legendary composer Astor Piazzolla.

Bartosz Glowacki was born in Poland in the late 80s before moving to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music in 2013. He was winner of The Polish Young Musician of the Year in 2009. Since moving to London, he has worked with every professional ensemble out there (London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Opera House and London Sinfonietta) and performs regular solo recitals all over the country and Europe. Bartosz is a pioneer of his instrument, improving awareness of the accordion within classical music, as well as developing a new repertoire for his instrument.

Tickets to this concert are on a first come, first serve basis.
