This concert will be approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes in duration, including two intervals
There will also be an online auction available for everyone to bid on during the evening to help raise funds for City Music Foundation

Ensemble Hesperi, a baroque group, performs at 1pm at The Great Hall, Barts Heritage.
Ensemble Hesperi is a dynamic and innovative London-based Early Music ensemble, dedicated to showcasing Baroque music through imaginative programming and collaboration with other art forms. The ensemble has developed a strong reputation for championing rarely-heard music by eighteenth-century Scottish composers: their 2019 project, “The Pheasant’s Eye”, featuring choreography from Highland dancer Kathleen Gilbert, was supported by a Lottery grant from Arts Council England.

Helena Kay is a tenor saxophonist and composer based in London. Originally from Perth, Scotland, she moved to London in 2012 to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2016 with a First Class in BMus Jazz (Hons). During her time studying, she was awarded the Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year Award (2015).

Winner of the Royal Over-Seas League Competition 2020, Hong-Kong-born flautist Sirius Chau has recently named the City Music Foundation Artist. He is also the Young Artist of Making Music, Tillett Trust, Talent Unlimited, Manchester Mid-day Concerts Society and Musicus Society in Hong Kong. He received the Tagore Gold Medal from HRH The Prince of Wales and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Scholarship in 2019; and made his solo debuts at the Wigmore Hall and Bridgewater Hall in the same year.

Harriet Burns is the recipient of numerous awards including 2nd prize at the 2019 Wigmore Hall/Independent Opera International Song Competition, the Compulsory Song Prize and Recital Prize at the 2019 International Vocal Competition in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, 1st prize at the 2019 Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards, winner of the 2018 Oxford Lieder Young Artists Platform, the 2017 Paul Hamburger Prize for Lieder and the 2017 Franz-Schubert-Institut Competition. She is a Samling Artist, Oxford Lieder Young Artist and a Britten-Pears Young Artist.

As a cellist, Joy has performed in the major European concert halls including the Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam Concertgebouw and Leipzig Gewandhaus as well as three consecutive sold-out recitals at London’s Southbank Centre.
