CMF Artists at Sound Unbound 2019

  • Saturday 18th - Sunday 19th May 2019

  • Various including St Bartholomew the Less, Piano Smithfield & The Charterhouse

In May 2019, CMF partnered with Barbican and Culture Mile to present five CMF Artists at Sound Unbound, a free music festival held in the City of London.

With St Bartholomew the Less as our base, we presented 14 concerts in all (out of 150 events in total) from Lotte Betts-Dean (mezzo-soprano), Helen Charlston (mezzo-soprano), Tabea Debus (recorders), Bartosz Glowacki (accordion), and Andrey Lebedev (guitar). Across the weekend we welcomed over 750 people to events at St Bartholomew the Less and many more to events at The Charterhouse and Piano Smithfield. Ours was just one success story out of many from a festival whose principal aim was to bring the rich culture and heritage of the City of London to new audiences. Culture Mile, which stretches from Farringdon to Moorgate, is committed to transforming the north-west of the Square Mile and aims to redefine the City of London as a global leader in both culture and commerce.
