Event Details

City Music Foundation returns to The Wallace Collection for our 4th annual Summer Residency (22nd – 26th July). In addition to five free lunchtime recitals, the 2019 residency sees the addition of a childrens’ concert, a concert for dementia sufferers, and an evening concert including Schubert’s ‘Trout Quintet’.

City Music Foundation presents an evening of chamber music and song by Franz Schubert, including his shimmering ‘Trout Quintet’. Inspired by a trip to the Austrian Alps, the quintet takes its name from his earlier song Die Forelle [The Trout], which became the theme for the singing fourth movement. Performed by a selection of CMF Artists and celebrated pianist Sholto Kynoch, this concert concludes CMF’s 2019 Summer Residency.
