City Music Foundation Summer Residency at the Wallace Collection goes Online (20th – 24th July)

Following another successful residency at the Wallace Collection in 2019, City Music Foundation were invited once again for the annual Summer Residency to begin the week of 20th July 2020. The original plan was to have 5 performances, one each weekday at lunchtime, in the Great Gallery. However, with the ongoing pandemic, unfortunately the Wallace Collection will have only just reopened and government restrictions will not allow these concerts to happen in person.

However, the good news is these concerts will still go ahead and be live streamed via YouTube instead – a perfect lunchtime break activity! You can find the full list below with links to the specific YouTube video.

2020 sees performances from soprano Anna Cavaliero, pianist Iyad Sughayer, the string quartet Echéa, harpist Gwenllian Llyr and viola Rosalind Ventris. The repertoire will range from traditional sonatas through to a world premieres.

The concerts are free to watch but we encourage donations towards CMF to support these young artists who are the future of live music; something that is so desperately in need right now.
